Greensleeves Care is currently recruiting for an experienced Property Advisor to cover areas from Walsall to Norwich, currently 10 of our care homes mainly in the East of England, frequent travels to the homes is required in this role.

Purpose of the role:

The post holder will support the Division in all areas of Trust property matters

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage the day to day Planned Maintenance Programme and works across all Trust Homes and properties.
  • Ensure the Divisional Support Manager is kept abreast of the schedule of planned maintenance work.
  • Lead and conduct the annual condition surveys of all Trust Homes.
  • Manage and liaise with building contractors, architects, and consultants to ensure work is in budget and complies with the Trusts tendering policy.
  • Effectively manage the major work programme, to undertake the client function and liaise with planning and conservation officers.
  • Lead, coordinate and implement an energy management scheme for all Homes in the Division and ensure this is maintained and regular reviewed.
  • Support the Head of Property to effectively manage the Trust’s relationship with building contractors, architects and consultant.
  • Assist the Divisional Support Manager and Head of Property in the preparation of annual budget support the proactive and reactive management of resident safety.
  • Participate in the preparation of reports, contracts, and annual budgets.
  • Provide advice to the Divisional Support Manager and Divisional Director on the feasibility of building improvements, extensions, acquisitions and new buildings.
  • To be the first point of contact for Homes and provide advice on all aspects of property management.
  • Manage all projects and works in accordance with the Trust’s policies, all statutory regulations and recognised good practise
  • Understand and support the vision, mission and aims of the Trust.

What you will need to succeed in this role

  • Building/Project Management related qualification – degree or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience of building maintenance/development of properties.
  • Experience in dealing with Property Management and Project Management and must show enthusiasm to work in both areas.
  • Experience of managing Listed Buildings and buildings in conservation areas.
  • Experience of the planning process and Building Regulation approval.
  • Experience with dealing with building consultants e.g. architects, engineers and other consultants who are involved with planning approval.
  • Experience dealing with Ecology e.g. protected species
  • Experience of project financial management.
  • Experience of Part Wall Notices and CDM 2015 Regulations
  • Experience of all property related health and safety regulations including dealing with local Fire Officers.
  • Computer literate, competent in using Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
